The Senior Compensation Analyst is a key member of the Total Rewards Team and supports the development and delivery of strategic compensation programs in accordance with Colonial’s compensation philosophy. You are responsible for ensuring programs align with best practices and legal requirements. The Senior Compensation Analyst partners with Talent Acquisition and People Operations to ensure Colonial attracts and retains top talent and rewards its employees competitively and equitably. You will provide compensation guidance and analytical support to all levels of the organization and will collaborate across the company and with Leadership to solve complex problems, improve processes, and implement new tools.
What You Get to Do:
- · Administer year-end Merit and Incentive programs in accordance with Colonial policies and in partnership with the Manager of Compensation.
- · Own the full lifecycle of Annual Survey Participation. Map internal jobs to survey benchmarks, collect and scrub HR data, ensure timely submission, attend Validation sessions.
- · Evaluate and advise on new hire offers, internal job changes, off-cycle adjustments.
- · Perform job evaluation of current and new roles. Conduct market analysis within MarketPay and internal analysis / peer review within Workday.
- · Meet with People Partners and Business Managers to align on job evaluations and educate on compensation practices, salary grades, market pricing methodology.
- · Maintain Jobs Library: review job descriptions for content and consistency, revising, or requesting revisions as needed. Partner with People team to ensure Jobs Library is complete and job descriptions are current and accurate.
- · Administer Colonial’s Recognition programs, ensuring compliance with guidelines and preparing reports as needed.
- · Track incentive performance against Plan, providing required accruals and adjustments to Finance, monitor budget and report variances.
- · Assist with system implementations and upgrades as needed, including Workday Advanced Compensation.
What You Bring to the Table:
- · Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferably with a focus in Finance or Accounting, or a related field of study from an accredited college or university; will consider a combination of experience and/or education.
- · Ideally, 5+ years of progressive employee compensation programs experience.
- · Experience conducting market analysis using MarketPay and either Willis Towers Watson or Mercer compensation surveys
- · Advanced Excel skills and comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- · Knowledge of compensation best practices and experience managing large datasets.
- · Ability to own highly sensitive data and programs, using utmost discretion and judgment.
- · Working knowledge of Finance and the impact Compensation has on financial statements.
- · Highly flexible, with the ability to seamlessly transition between working independently and collaborating with others.
- · Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
